Why wont it start and run ther is no other choice

I have replaced the 1992original head with a 19951995 head all timing marks aligned plenty of ceil plenty of good blue spark if you take #1 plug out flames shoot out while turning over will pop every now and again have tried backing up several teeth and afore several teeth on cam will not crank up driving me nuts

Why did you change the head? Then, possibly your timing is 180 degrees out. I know your crank is on bottom, but did you make sure that on cylinder #1 the intake valve opened and then closed, and then the #1 piston came rising up before judging your timing marks? I'm sure you did just that, but back to the first question, why switch heads?

Something is not right here-reverify the valve and ignition timing then let us know your findings

Bought truck in prices idiot owned before tried to install a complete engine from a 1995 the wiring is completely different the old engine was left out in the weather and water got in have salvaged block but head was ruined thus the reason for the swap but I don't know if I should use 92for timing marks for cam or 9595 have tried both even swapped cam pulley currently using 95 cam pulley timing marks on inner cover differ between both

So the intake valve should open then close and then the piston shoul come up maybe you can walk me through this I am working on it right now it willcrank and run tonight or I will scrap it tomorrow have been working on it for a month thank you so much for the help im afraid I cannot offord to donait right now but as soon as I am able I will as much as possible
