Ball joint

Need to remove knuckle from 92 ford f150 4x4, I am replacing upper & lower ball joints. Problem is there is some type of grooved washer on the threads of the upper. Need to remove so that I can remove knuckle in order to replace ball joint. No one seems to have a tool that would fit this item in order to remove it.

That is your camber/caster adjustment sleeve, Drive a suitable tool underneath it and pop it out of there then continue on wit R&R of ball joints, when done install sleeve prior to tightening of B joints, When you get the truck aligned your alignment tech will determine if you need different camber sleeves to align.
