I have a 92 f150, 5.0 auto, loaded. The computer went out, after replacing it, my mpg has fallen to about 8, the trans shifts way too quick, causing it to lug, and now its using 4-6 qts of oil a week but dont smoke or leak. But covers the airbox and filter with oil. And pcv and tuneup didnt help any. What happened to it

I highly doubt that the computer is causing the oil to end up in the air box. This would be almost guaranteed to be excessive blow by. When the compression escapes into the crank case then this pressure forces the oil up and out of the engine and into the air intake.

The next step that we need to take is check the compression. Here is a guide that will help with this:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-test-engine-compression

Below you will find the specs and the process from the manual on how to perform this test.

Please run through this info and let us know what the compression readings are and we can go from there. Thanks
