1991 Chevy Lumina 3.1 litre v-6. Starts up, runs approx 2 seconds then dies. Turn the key again and the engine will turn over but NO run time. Fuel pressure at rail is 38 psi. Spark is present.(New crk shaft position sensor). Once it ran without the fuel pump relay.

The message above says the pressure at the fuel rail is 38 psi. It didn't drop as the engine is turning over. The relay has been replaced even though you can hear the pump turn on for 2 seconds when you turn the key. The time the engine ran without the fuel pump relay indicates the oil pressure switch is ok.

Your fuel pressure is in the low side -should be -See chart also could be a problem with the computer's fuel pump circuit.

Thanks. I'll go and check the pump again. Is there any way to adjust ignition timing on a vehicle with a crk shaft position sensor? If so or not, what should the timing be?
