Removal (3.0L & 3.3L Engine)
To release drive belt tension, loosen alternator pivot bolt and alternator adjustment bolt. Turn belt adjustment screw counterclockwise until belt is slack enough to allow pump removal.
Position a drain pan under power steering pump. Install a clamp on pump fluid return line to prevent excessive fluid leakage. Disconnect fluid line hose from pump.
Remove pump rear bracket-to-sump bolts. Remove pump front bracket-to-timing cover bolt. Remove power steering pump and brackets as a unit.
Installation
Install front and rear pump brackets to pump. Install, but DO NOT tighten, front bracket-to-rear bracket bolts/nuts at this time. Position pump, with brackets attached, at installation position on engine. Install 3 rear bracket-to-timing cover bolts finger tight.
Install pump front bracket-to-timing cover bolt and tighten to specification. Tighten remaining bracket-to-timing cover bolts in correct order and to specification. See Fig. 5.
To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Ensure "O" ring at end of high pressure fitting is replaced before connecting fitting to power steering pump.

I have a Chrysler LeBaron GTC 1995, with a 3.0 engine. I assume this is the same car. I understand the procedure to loosen the belt by turning the tensioner counterclockwise. I don't understand how to access the power steering pump and its pulley though. It is right above the axle. What needs to be removed first to get to it and take it out?
