Coolant leaking from freeze plug at the rear of engine. The question is do the engine have to be removed in order to replace the freeze plug and or the rubber ones good to use or should I use the brass one

The biggest thing is can you reach it? I always used steel/brass ones my self but that is up to you. If you do put it in and it's metal use blue Loctite around it prior to install.
