Over heated and died and now won't start-90 Buick Century

Going down the frwy and it started spitting and real quickly the temp light came on as I pulled into a parking lot. Died. And now won't start. I do put water in it, it needed it.

If the overheating had been severe, you have damaged the engine and lost compression causing the non starting.

Get a compression test done to check the engine condition.

If you are in the middle of nowhere, remove the spark plugs and squirt some engine oil into the cylinders and crank the engine for a few seconds. Reinstall the spark plugs and try starting.
