Why is it that my car idles for about 10 minutes then goes off.

It wont start again until after about another half hour or so? I woke up one morning and the car wouldn't start. An electrician said it must be the distributor ignitor. On changing the ignitor, the car started but went off again after idling for 10 minutes. That is the position since.

It could be several things.
I would test the fuel pressure and look at some other items. I think it is best if I give you a diagnostic walkthrough to start. When it talks about pulling codes, you can only pull a few OBD0 codes by running a shunt wire on a connector. I will look into that.
When it talks about test where you need a special tool any Advance Auto or Auto Zone will loan you tools for testing or they also have special tools. They may even pull troulbe codes on your car, its worth a try.
