After over heating, I found the radiator drain leaking around the solder joint and after a genital tug came off. I had the repair done on the radiator I decided the hoses were old and replace then along with the thermostat, and radiator cap. During the test drive it over heated again. I did not hear the cooling fan running.
I after testing I replaced the thermal switch. At idle the Cooling fan runs 6 seconds at a time then off. The fan used to run when the car was parked and engine off to cool the engine.

We have owned the car since and it has always been a solid car.

I'm Lost

There is a module under the dash in the center on the right side of heater box that controls fan timing and running with engine off. You can get remanufactured ones or get a salvaged one. You can use the search feature on this site to find a parts retailer or salvage yard near you.
