My heat will not turn on. Every now and then it will kick on, but very rarely will it do this. And it doesnt kick on after a bump, or something that would be consistent with electrical problems either. If I turn on the heat full blast it will come out of the defrost on the dash a little bit when I am driving, as if the force of the air from driving pushes out a little bit, but when I stop it wont come out anymore. What could be the problem? I was told change the heater core, but I know that's a hassle n would like a 2nd opinion before I rip it out and risk that not being the problem

I'm assuming you mean the fan won't come on? Aside from the fuse, you should check the blower motor itself to see if it's bad. To do this, remove it and put a battery on the two wires. If it spins, it's good. The next thing you can do is check the blower motor resistor. This is a little part that is just behind the blower motor - under the glove box almost against the firewall. Remove the two bolts and it comes right out.
