I am having trouble getting my engine to idle

My 85 camaro iroc z28 with 305 tpi wont idle. Good fuel pump and filters new. Tps new. Turns over wont start, then I give it gas and it starts let my foot off the pedal and it dies. No oder of gas. Can someone help here cant afford the shop. I just went through the smog prosess and replaced the tps and the cat. Converter and passed. 2 days later early am. Tried to start it and just cranked over. So tested the fuel pump and replaced it cause it read little low. That was hard had to cut ex. Pipe cause smog shop weiled it one pieace. Still didnt stay running onit own. What could it be may egr would it do this cause somg shop left that hose off I noticed. Put it back on no help. Please help

No, could be the mass air flow sensor. Common failure.

Make sure it has spark as well. Pull the wire out of the coil and look for spark cranking.

Thanx for the responce. Ok is there any way to test the maf sensor? I assume theres spark cause I can keep it running with foot on the pedel. Thax again what a headacke its been.

You need a scan tool to test it and verify readings. Take off the connector and see if it runs better
