My morris minor 1000 -Question 1- About 3 gear, It not support to go to Normal Small Hill, so I have to Change to 2 gear to go -

Water out the exhaust is normal, when at operating temp you do not see it, do a compression test check to see if you have engine problems, coils do run warm, only if the coil is really to hot to touch do you have a problem.
