Sir- when I drive about 2 km the ignition coil ( bottle coil) of my morris minor 1000 car hot and stop car till cool coil, (coil is new) now I am going to change the coil as a New era Electric coil? Help me

Check that the points are ok and also replace the condenser, also make sure that the coil is not wired back to front.

Would this vehicle use a ballast resistor or a resistance wire?

Is it possible it has been eliminated (unintentionally), over the years in this vehicle?

Good thought CJ, Morris's normally did not run a ballast, but that's not to say that it should run one, if the owner can check if the coil is a ballast coil that would also help.
