Hi, so on my car when say I come to a red light and have the car wait at the light for about three minutes or so that transmission seems to pop or slip. The odd part is that is the only time the transmission has issues. It drives beautifully in every aspect. I need to service the transmission and need the fluid type as well. Any help will be appreciated.

It sounds like the fluid level is low. This video shows the job being done on a similar car but the process is the same, the only difference is your has a filter which is explained below. .

https://youtu.be/D7bgOjIRMMw

Fluid Types

Automatic Transmission

DEXRON-VI Automatic Transmission Fluid.

Capacities

TRANSMISSION FLUID CAPACITY

Bottom Pan Removal .................... 7.0 liters (7.4 quarts)

Complete Overhaul .................... 9.5 liters (10.0 quarts)

Dry .................... 12.7 liters (13.4 quarts)

NOTE: All capacities are approximate. When adding, be sure to fill to the approximate level. Recheck fluid level after filling.

It is a service guide but at the end it tells you how to check the fluid level. Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.
