Engine change

I NEED YOUR FRIENDLY ADVICE. I WANT TO CHANGE THE ENGINE OF MY COROLLA 95 MODEL. SEE MY ENGINE BELOW DETAILS

ENGINE: TOYOTA 2E - 1.3L -4 cyl. CARBURETOR TO ENGINE: TOYOTA 1.6 - 4AFE - 4 cyl. FUEL INJECTION.

MY QUESTION: IS THIS POSSIBLE? IF IT IS, DO I NEED TO CHANGE ALSO THE TRANSMISSION? HOW MUCH IT WILL COST ME? WHAT ARE THOSE PARTS NEED TO CHANGE?

PLEASE GIVE ME HELPFUL ADVICE. THANK YOU

You will have to get the complete engine and complete wiring harness from a 95 FI car.

You will have to change the fuel pump and line to accomodate the higher pressure FI engine.

This will be a large undertaking, all 95 U.S. Cars came standard with the 1.6 or 1.8 FI engine.

Thanks for your speed reply and support. Any how, if I consider all your advice, how much it will cost me to buy this engine and all necessary parts on my corolla 95?

I am not familiar with the salvage business in saudi arabia.

But here in U.S. You could buy the complete engine and harness for around $800 from a salvage yard, or buy a JDM engine on the internet for $400 plus shipping.

Labor for the change would probably run at least 25-40 hours depending on the skill level of your mechanic, or yourself if you deciede to do it your self.
