Engine Performance problem
1999 Toyota Corolla Manual

I filled my engine oil a few weeks ago and mistakenly left the cap off. I drove almost 100 miles out of town before realizing it. Ever since then I have problems with acceleration and sometimes starting the car. If I accelerate hard, it is as if the engine is either not getting enough fuel or misfiring. I'm not sure which, but I have to shift into a much lower gear to accelerate. There are also times when I try to start the car that it just won't start. Everything electrical comes on, but nothing happens when I push in the clutch. Any idea what the problem may be?

Leaving the oil cap off will shoot oil all over the engine. This will get into electrical connectors.

Do you have any PCM error codes?

The engine will have to be cleaned and all electrical connections.
