Trying to get to clock-spring. Took nut off, used puller and hands to pry it off. Puller wouldn't pull it off. Nothing. Sigh. Please help. Am I missing something?

Good morning,

What kind of puller are you using? Can you post a picture for me to see the puller?

I've also used the the one with the two jaws. Neither is taking it off. Steering wheel is stuck or anti seized on, don't know.

That's not the correct puller.

The puller you need has two bolts that bolt to the steering wheel itself and then when you tighten the threaded bolt in the center, it will pop up.

My steering wheel has open slots. I wished it had bolt holes. I used the jaws and when I tightened either one real tight the claws would dig into the inside of the holes. This wheel is stuck.

Okay, when you get the puller tight on the wheel, take a hammer and hit the center bolt and see if it shocks it free and up. Sometimes it needs a little extra pull.

Someone really cranked down on that nut. It is not supposed to be that tight.

Leave the puller on there for a while and see if it loosens itself over time. You may have to tighten the center bolt a couple of times.

Good morning Roy. I left the puller on overnight. I tightened it throughout the day until I couldn't no more and I would hit the center bolt with the mini sledgehammer. Nothing. Know of anything else?

Some heat possibly on the where it meets the shaft. I would not use a torch but a hair dryer or heat gun could work. Try heating to expand the aluminum enough to pop.

Good morning Roy. The only thing is now I have to replace the round plastic disc that the horn wire goes in. I need the right steering wheel pressure plate removal tool for my car. Do you know what it looks like and can you send me a picture? Thanks again.

It works well. It depresses it enough to get the snap ring out of the groove.
