Replacing Engine/Transmission

I am looking to replace the engine/transmission in a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, Sports Edition. What year engines are compatible with this one, if I'm looking to buya wrecked vehicle to use it's engine? Also, are the engines in different Jeep models compatible with the Grand Cherokee, or do I need to be looking specifically for a Grand Cherokee?

Just replace it the factory motor. Getting used is a gamble. Get a re built unit with a warranty

How much should something like that cost with a warranty?
Can you replace a 4.0L 6 engine in a 2002 with a 3.6L 6 from a 2008 Grand Cherokee?
