I have a 1996 Oldsmobile 88 and it will not start. I have replaced the battery, starter, and alternator. I was having a problem after driving it for a while and when I cut it off I had to boost it car would not just start back up, I had to let cool for almost and hour before it cranked back up. Sometimes after sitting overnight I had to boost it the next morning. What could this be? Now the car is not turning over even with a boost? Help!

Hello,

Is the check engine light on? Do you know the codes?

There could be several factor why it won't start. It could be the engine not getting spark or fuel. The crank sensor could be faulty as well.

Here are few helpful articles on what to look for:

I have attached information on diagnostics and replacement of crank sensor.

Please let me know of any questions.

Thank you.
