Vehicle was running fine last night, low on gas though. Got cold here last night, mid thirties. Vehicle would crank, but not start this morning. Put about three gallons of gas in tank. If I put gas, or starting fluid in carburetor it will catch and run until fuel is gone. Where should I start looking for problem?

You should have a fuel pressure test done, also when you turn the key to the on/run position the fuel pump should prime/pressurize the system for two seconds. You can usually hear this noise if you have the door open. The fuel pump may have gone bad or its relay. And you do have a lot of mileage on the truck so there may be some water in the tank. But fuel pressure test first.
