Hello -

You will have to remove it the following way.

CONTROL PANEL
Removal & Installation (Lever-Type)
Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove center panel, side panel, glove box and glove box door. Remove control panel cables and wiring. Remove control panel. To install, reverse removal procedure. Adjust control cables. See ADJUSTMENTS in HEATER SYSTEM article.
Removal & Installation (Push-Button Type)
Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove center panel, side panel, glove box and glove box door. Remove control panel wiring and cable. Remove control panel. To install, reverse removal procedure. Adjust air mix control cable. See ADJUSTMENTS in HEATER SYSTEM article.

I would check the parts department and get a parts breakdown of that area and the bulb. That will give you and idea of exactly where it is and what it looks like.

Be careful removing the panels... Use a WIDE flat tool to first pry them up but be careful not to over stress to crack it.

If you need to get back with me please let me know if your model is the DX or ES or LX and the engine size in liter.
