Hey.

One day the engine warning light came up, and the car lost its power.
Diagnostics showed MAP and MAF sensor faulty.

Fault codes.
P0107
P0104
P0101.

Changed both. MAP and MAF sensors, but the problem was still same.

Also checked the wiring and everything is okay.

Can you tell what can cause the problem?

Hello Toni,

P0107 MAP circuit sensor having too low voltage
P0104 Mass Airflow Sensor having high output voltage/signal to the ECU.
P0101 mass airflow sensor is out of its intended range.

This happens when the catalytic converter gets clogged up, the air filter is plugged, or there is a massive vacuum leak. Here is a guide to help check the converter and for a vacuum leak I have included instructions to check your air filter as well:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-test-a-catalytic-converter

And use this test when the engine is cold only:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-use-an-engine-vacuum-gauge

Please check out the images below and get back to me.

Thank you for your reply.

The thing is that I also checked leaks, there aren't any.

But the DPF is removed from car and its reprogrammed. I had it checked twice and I was told that software is not the problem.

Yep, it does seem like a mechanical error like a clogged exhaust system. I would undo the exhaust at the catalytic converter to see if the power comes back. It will be a little loud FYI. You may need to take the exhaust manifold off to inspect it.

If I reset my car by disconnecting the battery, then the power comes back, sometimes I can drive like that 30 km. And if I start the car, then sometimes it sounds normal, then I hear little "click" and engine rpm goes little lower and car struggles to idle.

This sounds like a bad PCM, but can I ask if the scan that was done is a CAN scan? This might tell us more before replacing the PCM. You can get a CAN scanner (Controller Area Network) from Amazon.

Here is a video to show you how:

https://youtu.be/u-4syLc-ifQ

and

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/can-scan-controller-area-network-easy

Here is how to change the PCM out in the images below, you can get a preprogrammed unit by searching Google or Ebay. Let me know please.

Yes, scan was made with CAN. Is it possible that the software was badly installed?

Yes, that is possible, you can try to do another install and see if that fixes it.

Hello again.
So, a guy installed new software into the car.
He said that there was a problem with DPF.
Put also he said that there is malfunction with MAP sensor.
I already replaced it last year. But I'm not sure if I looked spare part code.

I want to order a new MAP sensor but how can I get the right sensor without code?

What I meant about codes is that every detail on car have code.
If I want to buy a new sensor, then I have to have code.

For example. Picture I added in here is MAP sensor for mazda. Diagnostics showed that its faulty. But I lost the original sensor on my car, I replaced it with new one but the sensors code didnt match. How can I buy new one, does VIN code gives me right sensor that fits?
Hope you understand what I meant.

Second thing is that in picture, this is airfilter box, as you can see, one of the plastic connector is broken so these two hoses are just connected with tape. Can it cause problem with MAF or MAP sensor and do you have some sort of picture inside of the connectors?

Yes, that can cause an issue, it looks like one of the hoses should go onto the air filter box. Can you see where the other one goes, is it broken? Can you upload more pictures?

Did you replace the MAF sensor, also does the engine seem to have good power? I am thinking it could be a partially clogged exhaust system.

Here is a guide to help you check:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-test-a-catalytic-converter

Please go over this guide and report back.

I already checked the exhaust system; everything is free flow on there. Today the car was working fine, all power was back, even check engine light went off. When is stopped car, it started idling weirdly and then the engine light came back on again.
MAF/MAP sensors are replaced.

Okay, let's check the wires to the sensors, here is a guide that will help you and if the connections are good replace the PCM:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-wiring

Here are the engine wiring diagrams so you can check it out. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.
