Been having a hesitation issue when driving and my foot isn’t easing off of the accelerator acts its hiccupping. Not getting enough fuel when driving. I added Mystery Oil and Seafoam to fuel when filling up. Friend of mine suggested that my injectors are going bad. Figured I remove them and have them cleaned out at a shop. Or if I can do it myself?

Hi,

The first thing I would check is fuel pressure. If it is low, that can cause issues. As far as cleaning the injectors, they make really good products that you add to the fuel that will do it. I know seafoam makes one that people use often.

If you haven't, check your fuel pressure. You will need a fuel pressure gauge, but most parts stores will lend one to you.

Here is a link that explains in general how it's done:

As far as the fuel injectors, I attached the directions for removing the fuel rail first and then the injectors. If you do this, make sure to replace the o-rings on the injectors. Also, I always put a small amount of Vaseline on the O-rings to make sure they aren't damaged when reinstalling them'

Let me know if this helps or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe
