When accelerating to start off, the car shudders and makes a noise. Only does it when the car is warm and not when it’s cold.

Welcome to 2CarPros.

Can you describe the sound or upload it so I can hear it? Also, is the check engine light staying on when the engine is running? If so, you should scan the computer for diagnostic trouble codes. Here is a quick video showing how that is done:

Let me know.

No engine lights on, it’s shuddering when taking off. It’s making a noise because of the shuddering. When you put your foot on the accelerator.

Welcome back:
Can you describe the noise? Could you record the noise and upload it for me to hear? My concern is the problem sounds like a misfire, but that should turn the check engine light on. Does it feel like it could be transmission related?

Let me know.

No engine lights on, it’s only doing it when you take off from the lights pressing the accelerator it shudders. The noise is the shuddering, it only does it when it’s warm and not cold. And even then it doesn’t do it all the time. It doesn’t feel like it could be transmission related, there’s no problem after you start to take off. Gears change normally and everything, only the start it does it.

Welcome back:

Without a trouble code, it becomes a trial and error game. Since you don't always feel it, that makes it really difficult. It could be many different things. With that in mind, it may need tuned up, have a vacuum leak, a fuel pressure issue, ignition related issue, a partially plugged fuel filter, a plugged air filter, and the list goes on. If you want to try checking things, here are a few links that explain in general how to inspect and repair different things which can cause this issue:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-fuel-system-pressure-and-regulator

As you can see, many things can be an issue. Without the code, it really takes a trained ear to eliminate things. Even then, it's difficult to find it right away.

Let me know if you have other questions.
