I have a 1996 Honda Civic Ex, 89,000 miles on it, I went away for the weekend and my car wasnt started since Friday when i started it on Monday I went to go drive and it seemed as if it was misfireing as I continued to drive it smoothed out, I had my spark plugs and wires replaced a couple months ago, so I dont know if there is a problem with the plugs, could this have been because my car is older and wasn't started for 3 days?

No the age should have little to do with it and so should the fact that it sat for a couple of days. A couple of things come to mind. First, an injector could be leaking and dumping extra fuel in to the engine, thus the misfire. Another thought is the EGR valve could be in need of cleaning. After the car has sat for a few minutes does a gas odor come to bear either inside the car or out?

I haven't noticed any gas odor at all, after that my car has been running well the past few days I have no Idea why it ran that way on Monday...I'm guessing if it happens again I'm going to have to consider taking it to get serviced? If it is the injector how much would getting something like that fixed run me?

Have you also considered that it could have a need to get some better gas in the system. I would just sit tight and watch how it runs for the next few days. Maybe even let it sit again for a few days like before and see what happens.
