I have a 2002 Honda Accord EX with 101,000 miles 5 speed. On some chilly mornings, we crank the car, drive out down the street and approach a stop sign. The car then cuts off. No engine lights. Both my wife and I have had this happen. We keep the services up on the car and I recently had the battery replaced. The cutting off happens before the battery replacement. If we let the car warm up for a few minutes, it does not cut off. The car is in Atlanta.
Mi wife also stated if the radio and A/C or Heat is on, it is prone to cut off. It usually only does this once. Once it is warmed up. No problems.
We have had our service center inspect the problem; They said they could find anything. I am not for sure what is happening. Please Help.

I hate to give you the same answer your mechanic gave you but unless you want to go to the point of swapping parts I would let it manifest itself. There are a number of sensors that could be pointed to but that would simply be guessing to name one. Keep us posted on the issue.
