2005 Ford Mustang vacuum leak

Engine Performance problem
2005 Ford Mustang 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 35,000 miles

the check engine light came on, after checking I could distinctly hear a hissing noise. I'm told that is the sound of a vacuum leak. I need to know how to find it first, any directions on this would be very helpful. Thank you!

Something caused that CEL to come on-could lead you to the problem if you scan the computer for OBD2 code/s. To check vacuum leak-use WD-40 and spray between the intake manifold and engine block-throttle body, look around for a disconnected hose and a leaking one-inspect the hose that goes to the brake power booster-when you hit the leak the idle will smooth out-
