There is no power on fuel pump and radiator fan turns on when set switch on. Fuses checked okay. How can I test Control Unit-IPDM and wiring?

Hi,

As far as the IPDM, all you can do is check for power in and out. I attached a pic below. First, make sure the fuse in the picture is good. In addition to checking the fuse, make sure there is power to it and out from it.

Also, make sure the relay is good. You can switch it with a different one having the same part number or here is a test for checking a relay.

If the power is good at the relay/fuse, then check at the pump for power. See pic 2. If power is at the pump, then either the pump is bad or there is a bad ground.

As far as the cooling fan, lets focus on one thing at a time.

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.

Joe

Hi,

According to the schematics, it is in the IPDM under the hood. I attached a pic below showing the fuel pump relay fuse, so check that as well. As far as the relay, I'm not showing a pic. See if there is a label on the rear of the box cover indicating relay location.

The box should be behind the battery.

Let me know.
Joe
