The vehicle is a gran caravan 1998/w a 3.3L motor. The problem is when we turn the heat or defroster on it only blows cold air even after the vehicle is completely warmed up. Its not overheating and the radiator may or may not be circulating properly. I have already replaced the thermostate and it didnt help. The old thermostate was bad.

Sounds like the heater core is clogged. Remove both heater hoses and flush the heater core with a garden hose untill the water flows freely through it.
Hope this helps Backyardmechanic :o

You may have a problem with the heater control valve. Does your van have front and back heat and AC?

Also check to see if the your control knob is opening and closing the blender door properly. If the knob is cracked on the inside (the part which connects to the switch) then thats it. Replace the knob and it should open the blender door. All the reponses u got can be the issue. Good luck and let us all know
