MY VAN JUST EXPERIENCED THE THIRD FAILURE OF THE MULTIPLE FAN SPEED CONTROL "RESISTOR". I HAVE HAD DEALERSHIPS REPAIR THE PROBLEM IN THE PAST BY REPLACING THE "RESISTOR". SYMPTOMS ARE NO FAN EXCEPT IN THE "HI" MODE. REPAIRS ARE IN THE MEDIUM $$ RANGE BUT MY PROBLEM IS THAT I LIVE OVER 150 MILES FROM THE NEAREST DEALER!

HAS ANYONE EXPERIENCED A SIMILAR PROBLEM AND HOW DO I GAIN ACCESS TO THIS PART.

Any parts house will have but you may need a motor. Resistors don't go out that often unless a cause. Most common is faulty motor drawing too many Amps. Burning resistor

JUST ORDERED A NEW "RESISTOR" FROM A COMPANY ASSOCIATED WITH THIS WEB SITE. I HAVE BEEN LOOKING AT THE CENTER-DASH CONSOLE. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS ON HOW TO GAIN ACCESS TO THE "RESISTOR"? SURE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY IDEAS SINCE, AS I STATED PREVIOUSLY, I AM 150 MILES FROM ANY DEALER. I HAVE ALSO JUST ORDERED A HAYNES REPAIR MANUAL. THANKS
