Basically this code is telling you that the EBCM (electronic brake control) failed to receive the serial data message from the PCM.

Usually this is not the only code that you have. Do you have a scan tool capable of communicating with the ABS/EBCM? If so, can you communicate with it?

If not, do you have any issues with the vehicle? Is the ABS light on or any other warning lights?

C0286 - MPA malfunction
C0269 - EBCM Commands dump solenoid on for 9 seconds
P0298 - Torque signal malfunction

I attached the testing for these codes as well. Run through these tests and we can go from there. Thanks
