hello I might have a problem with my fuel pump. It just went out but when when I fueled it up (full) it ran for 2 more days. When just went out I parked it for a week and every morning I start it and it ran for a while, so I replaced the filter today, when I took out the old filter the baffle was just moving around in the old fliter.
so when the new filter was installed it ran for 1hr and half. Now it just starts for a while again.
what is wrong I hope its not the pump!

Check the fuel pressure with a guage to verify if its coming from a weak fuel pump.

Whats the fuel psi on that 01 tahoe 5.3liter?

Should be 55-62 psi-should maintain 26 psi for 1 min after fuel pump is turn off.
