I have replaced my fuel pump 7 times in the past year and a half. Is there something that is making the fuel pump go bad prematurelly? I have replaced it with an AC Delco the last two times, it has only been three weeks since I replaced it last.

The fuel pump electrical connectors have been a problem with those for one. Use an ac delco pump when replacing it. The filter should have changed also.

Or it is getting mis-diagnosed.

I replaced my pump 2 times without changing to connector. The third time I used an acdelco and it went out the next day, I put a new connector on it and its been good ever since. When you changed it the first 6 times unhooking the connector removed enough corosion to allow connection for some time but not permenantly.
