I replaced the EGR valve on my chevy malibu. And the check engine light is still giving me the same code. P0405 which indicated the EGR VALVE malfunctioning. Is there any other thing I should look for?

Did you have the code cleared once you did the repair? The code will remain and the light stay on until the code is cleared.

Just a thought.

Yes, the code was cleared, but it came back on. I already checked the wires to make sure they are making good contact with the sensors as well. But I truly can't figure out what the problem is.
