Car will not even make attempt to start

Key had been stuck on acc finally got it out and still won't start. New battery. Even tried to crank it by starter it won't. Please help.

Welcome to 2CarPros.

Do you mean you tried to engage the starter at by crossing the solenoid on the starter and nothing happened?

If that is the case, either the starter is bad or there is not power direct from the battery to the starter. The larger cable should have battery voltage at all times. The smaller wire only gets power when the key is in the start position. Check to see if there is power to the larger wire and let me know what you find.

Last, check to make sure the starter fuses in the under hood fuse box is good. See picture 1.

When you go directly to starter it ticks that is all. But that is it or a loud clicking sound.

Hello.

It's very possible your starter has failed or has stopped on a dead spot in the motor windings. Many times, tapping the starter with a hammer will help get it past that dead spot, but this is usually just a temporary solution. It will still need to be replaced to prevent the issue from occurring again. I suggest following the article below for more information on diagnosing starter related issues.
