ABS traction light still turns on after replacing wheel hub sensor

I change the wheel hub sensor but my ABS an traction light still comes on.

Hi Owens,

Do you have the code that is causing the ABS light to come on? Is it a speed sensor DTC? From your post it seems like you replace just one or did you replace all them?

Also, the ABS and traction light are normally caused by speed sensor issues but there are other things that can cause it. Namely, the speed sensor wiring, ABS module, and other various sensors.

Let me know what DTCs you have and we can get this figured out. Thanks

I change the two front wheel hubs. Do I need to change the back hubs too?

Possibly but before you just replace sensors, let's get the codes out of the computer so we know for sure. You may not need to change both if just one of them are the issue.

Here is a link to a guide that will show the basics on how to test them. I would at least test each of them to see if they are bad. Clearly if they test bad then you can go ahead and replace them because that will cause the issue. However, without the codes, we are kind of shooting in the dark.
