I HAVE JUST HAD A NEW CLUTCH FITTED ON MY PEUGOET AND NOW IT WONT GO INTO SECOND GEAR, IT WAS FINE BEFORE BUT APPARENTLY WHEN THE TRANSMISSION FLUID WAS DRAINED THERE WERE TRACES OF METAL INSIDE, CAN ANYONE GIVE ME AN IDEA OF WHAT HAS HAPPENED PLEASE. THANKS

I assume this is a 4 speed manual transmission. You never mentioned if the only gear you are having problems with is 2nd. If this is so then the problem came from the reinstall of the transmission into the clutch and bell housing. Usually done by using bolts to pull the transmission in all of the way instead of it going all the way in with out forcing. This is only a guess as more information is necessary.
