2001 f250 transmission oil
I have a 2001 f250 5.4l auto 4x4. I am trying to figure out whether my transmission takes mercon or mecon5. also what lube to put into my diffs. i do not know what gear ratio or rear end i have.

Dexron/Mercon for the trans.. verify with your auto parts store or owners manual.
The rear diff's on Ford usually require a friction modifier available from a Ford Dealer only. The gear lube for the diff's should be 80w-90 weight
