A/C blowing hot air

The AC is blowing mostly hot air but will sometimes get cold for a few seconds. It also is very loud outside of the car. I have checked the A/C related fuses and ensured that the clutch is engaging, but I don't see any problems. The intensity of air flow also increases as I turn the dial on the dash. So I'm not sure what the problem is and I'm smothering in the 100 degree heat. Please help!

Good afternoon,

Do you have a set of gauges to check the Freon pressures? I need to see the high and low side readings.

When you command cool and heat, can you hear the blend door move in the heater case?

Hi Roy,

So I got a gauge and it says there is almost too much pressure in the A/C system. (I don't think it makes a difference but I checked it just as a thunderstorm was beginning so I didn't get a chance to take a picture, but I can later if you need it). I also checked the blend door. I don't hear it clicking behind the dash, and it opens and closes just fine. The sound I hear can only be heard outside of the car and it is a constant trill (not sure how to best describe the noise) while the A/C is on. It doesn't matter if it is on the lowest setting or the highest and it goes away as soon as I turn the A/C off.

You need a set of gauges for both the high and low side. I need to see those readings so I can see if the Freon system is working correctly.
