P0883 – TCM Power output High
2007 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Unlimited with 42RE automatic transmission - I am getting a check engine light code of P0883 – TCM Power output High.
This is resulting in my Automatic transmission going into “limp in mode” (per Chrysler), which means the transmission will never shift out of second gear.
Is this a common problem, or is there a most likely cause?

when there is an internal fault whether electrical or hyraulic, the car will revert to limp mode so you can get it to a shop for repairs.
a shop can track down the issue and give you the failure. the code never identifies a bad part, just a failed system
