Hello,

Let's start with the basics. Check the battery connection, make sure the cables are secured and free of any corrosions.
When you have a bad alternator, it will discharge the battery as you drive, it can also stall as you come to a stop. Typically, when you shut it off, it will not start back up. Usually, you will be able to jump start it, but it will not stay running.

Check the battery fuse located in the fuse box under the hood.
It should be a 60A fuse (see chart below).

If the fuse is good, then it is likely the alternator.
Best course of action would be to test the alternator. If you are unable to star the car then the alternator needs to be taken off and test off of the vehicle.

I have attached diagrams for your reference.

Please let me know of any questions.
Thank you.

Good morning,

If it won't start with a jump the most likely issue is the battery itself. It may be internally shorted. If it is, it will not take a jump at all.

Check the actual voltage at the battery with a voltmeter. It should be 12.4 to 12.6 volts.
