Recently my wife was driving her car it began to cut back and then it cut off, she tried to start car back up and it turned over but wouldn't start.I tried starting the car and I could hear a squeaking noise coming from the left side of the engine.I can hear the fuel pump come on so I don;t think its that. Do you have any idea what it could be?

Hello,

Just to make sure we cover the basics, have tried jump starting the car?

An engine will need spark and fuel to start. Missing either or both will make the engine not to start.
Does the engine crank when you try to start it?
It is cranks but no start than you are either missing spark of fuel.
First item is to check for spark at the spark plugs.

Here is an article that explains how to check for spark:

If you have spark then you need to verify that you are getting correct amount of fuel pressure. Fuel pump performance can be checked using a fuel pressure test gauge.
You should have 30-55 PSI of fuel pressure with the key ON and engine OFF.

Please let me know of any questions.

Thank you.
