Engine problem
2003 Ford Taurus V6 Wheel Drive Type unknown Automatic 89000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
Sometimes my car would cut off while driving and we would have to get out and tighten the battery cables and then it would start right up. That hasn't happened in over a month but now it performed a new trick for me this morning. My car started this morning and drove fine, but when my husband stopped to get gas and he tried to start the car it would not start. The lights, dashboard and radio came on but it would not start. We had it towed and as the driver was taking it off of the flatbed he noticed that it was leaking oil. Could the leak and not starting be connected?

I had this same problem with my 2003 Taurus and I needed a new battery.
Service Tech found half of the cells in the battery were shot.
I have not had a problem with that since I got a new battery.

Hope this helps you out.
