Yeah I checked the vent line on filler neck and the filler tube they are clear through it is also a step side truck so not sure. Would the filter on the back of the frame above axle have something to do with it

GOT THIS DIAGRAM AT rockauto.com FOR YOUR SPECIFIC VEHICLE

THEY SHOW TWO VIEWS... UNFORTUNATELY NOT THE END I WANTED TO SEE

JUST LOOKING AT THE OUTSIDE IS MOLDED AT THE LOWER END, IT LOOKS VERY SIMILAR TO THE FILLER TUBE WHICH I SHOWED YOU IN MY PREVIOUS ANSWER/ LINK

I'D BET YOURS HAS A CHECK BALL IN THE BOTTOM END TOO

IF YOU DON'T WANNA TAKE IT LOOSE AND SEE WHAT'S GOING ON....WHAT ABOUT A GOOD "LOVE TAP" ON THE LOWER END, WITH THE HANDLE END OF A HAMMER.....MAYBE IF THE BALL IS STUCK IN THE UP/ CLOSED OFF POSITION, YOU'LL SORTA JAR IT LOOSE

JUST LOOKING AT THE PICS AND LINK I SENT---MAY BE ONE IN THE FILLER TUBE ITSELF----MAYBE THERE ARE TWO OF 'EM

1)MAYBE IT "USED TO LIVE" IN THE METAL FILLER TUBE---NOW IT HAS CAME LOOSE AND SLID ON DOWN TO THE TANK'S INLET

2)NOW APPEARS THAT'S WHERE IT BELONGS, BUT IS REALLY IS BLOCKING THE HOLE

3)IF YOU LOOK HARD AT IT---MAYBE SOMEONE TOOK IT OUT AND RE-INSTALLED IT UPSIDE DOWN

4)SEE IF IT "CHECKS" IN THE CORRECT DIRECTION.....JUST "A FEW OF "MY HYPOTHESIS", I DON'T KNOW SPECIFICS ABOUT YOUR RIG

YOUR VENT AND/OR FILLER RUBBER LINES AIN'T CRIMPED, ARE THEY?

YOU DID SEE THE DODGE TRUCK FILLER PICS IN THE LINK TO THE OTHER POST?????
