Black net through my a/c

I have this black mushy netting that blew out my a/c vents a few months ago, and a it still keeps coming out in little bits, what is that? Should I be worried. A/C seems to be running fine.

That is a noise deadner placed on blend doors after time it deterioates. will pose no problem
