2003 Blazer, the A/C went out on it a few days ago & yesterday i had it on defrost only & tempeture on cool & the A/C came on, i switched it to A/C & it stayed on for a while & then went off, it will come on every now & then but not real cool only sometimes. any ideas.
Without putting a set of gauges on it to read the high and low side pressure readings, it would be a guess, more than likely it could just be low on charge.
I've had it charged, would being low o charge still have anything to do with the A/C coming on on defrost?
The compressor will run when in defrost mode, that is the way the system is suppose to operate. But like I said, I would have to know the pressure readings to properly help you diagnose your problem.
Thanks a lot i'll have this checked out, you've been very helpful.
