Engine overheating?

I changed the freeze plug, thermostat and water pump on my 2000 impala and still it runs hot

Hello,

Have you checked to see if you cooling fan comes on? As it could be the cooling fans.
First you need to check the relays for the cooling fan and verify that they are good.

The relays are located under the hood in the fuse block.
If the relays are good then you will have to check to see if there is power going to the fan.
