1995 ford probe 2.0 liter drives fine, doesnt smoke, no coolant in oil, did notice I was really low on coolant, and heater would work on freeway but would turn cool driving and stopping. Has a high idle until it warms up, and then the next day when I started the car it started to make this loud tapping around the oil inlet on the valve cover right above the distributer cap. Can some one let me no what might be wrong?

Hi well one prob won't have anything to d with the other. First thing you want to do change oil and filter substitute one qt of oil with a quart of transmission fluid this will help with the sticky lifter. No guarentee this will fix it but it is possible.

Coolant loss. You are loseing coolant need to pressureize the system and find the leak it will be prob leaking out of the waterpump or heater core.
