My ABS light will not go off. The brakes are working fine. Occasionally the tripmeter will stop but speedometer works. I have been told that the metering block needs to be replaced but, I cant get any information on this part. Its not the correct name for it. Can you tell me if I am on the right track with this and what is the correct name for the part that I need?

Hello,

If the ABS lights stays illuminated, it can be due to faulty sensor at the wheel or it could be the ABS module.
First step would be to have the vehicle scanned for ABS codes. It can point to the right direction of which component is not functional.

Here is a helpful video of ABS code retrieval:

If one of the wheel ABS sensor gets damages or has dirt or grease on it, the light could be triggered as well. As the sensor will not pick up the wheels rotations.
This can also be due to a faulty ABS relay.
That relay is located in a fuse box attached to the left hand inner fender, just behind the battery.
Inspect the relay for any corrosion or burnt pin(s).
You can also test the relay.

Please let me know of any questions.
Thank you.
