Car cuts off

Hello, I have a 91 honda civic hatchback, I had problems with my cel coming on for awhile then my car started shutting off while I was driving, but it easily cut back on, so I replaced the fuel pump relay, didnt have a problem for almost a week, then yesterday it cut off while I was at the gas station, and today it cut off at a stop light. What is the probem with this, is it an easy fix. Please help, its getting irratating.

Lets start with what codes numbers do you have causing that cel light to come on?

Nope, mechanics cant get any codes cause the cel isn't on when I leave the car to them. I have been stuck with this problem for awhile now. Ever since I put the new relay the cel hasn't come on instead the cel would come on then the car shuts off. So I don't know.

So when it dies will start right back up or do you have to wait for it to start right back up?Without any codes to lead us in a direction it will be more difficult to figure out.

Well, it doesn't start right back up, but it takes a couple tries. And it only happens alot of the times when after driving for 10 to 15 minutes. And now my cel doesn't come on it just cuts off.

When it does start after a couple of tries is there black smoke out the tail pipe like signs of the engine being flooded?Also next time it dies and won't start right away try this hold your gas pedal all the way to the floor while cranking it to start it. See if it starts any quicker doing that.

Ok, I'll try that and I'll see if there is black smoke coming out the tail pipe. If this helps, it only happens the first 10 to 15 min I drive, but after that the rest of the drive is fine. Maybe it happens when my car is off for a ling time.

Took my car to 2 shops and they can't find nothing. My car has cut several times, I even took the ground wire to my fog lights thinking it was that cause I put that in right round the time my cr started cutting off. I need help. Don't know what to do.
